Work experience

Community Impact and Finance Fellow

The role didn't exist before I joined. I built it while finishing my degree.

  • Community & Volunteer Operations — Managed a volunteer communications network across 19 chapters, 20,000+ volunteers, and 4 cities, serving as primary point of contact and standardising onboarding via automated Google Forms. Coordinated all 14 Bangalore chapters end-to-end for field drives and community events; ran RTI workshops.
  • Financial Operations — Managed petty cash against a ₹10,000 monthly budget, verifying every claim against a bill or payment screenshot. Organised the Foundation's financial records ahead of the CA firm's year-end filings.
  • Legal & Case Support — Drafted 3–4 FIR complaints per month; walked victims through the process, police station included. Case onboarding: sat with victim, gathered evidence, wrote an internal brief so the Director never had to re-interview anyone.
  • Internal Systems & Automation — Built the RTI Master Tracker (Google Sheets): structured filing database, automated deadline tracking, live analytics dashboard. Built onboarding forms that cut the manual process by 90%+. Ran bug testing across Foundation systems.
  • Content & Communications — Default writer for internal updates, announcements, and social captions. Daily HQ updates to ~100-person group pulled 20–30 reactions, near-full readership.
  • Broseph Shikshana Vedike — Led the education initiative across two government schools; directly taught 50+ at-risk youth, managed a rotating team of 10+ volunteer teachers. Curriculum: English, Maths, Science, and tech literacy from computer basics up to networking and operating systems.
  • Partnerships — Co-organised a civic drive with Christ University's SDG club: 20+ participants, two field teams, 10+ bags of garbage, 60+ issues logged on BBMP Sahaya app.
Projects

RTI Master Tracker

Built a comprehensive automated database on Google Sheets, powered by Apps Script and inline cell formulas. The system comprises RBAC controls for sensitive areas, multiple automated tabs that reduce human intervention to the bare minimum, and visual and textual dashboards (summarised and filter-based) for decision-making and performance tracking across the RTI pipeline.

NGO Operations Improvement: The Broseph Foundation

Conducted 25+ hours of primary research through interviews with the founder, GM, core team, long-term volunteers, and former volunteers who had already left. Report covered org structure changes, onboarding clarity, and pre-signup expectation-setting.

Project Thakurs: Digital Marketing

The brief was an ad for a product in an assigned genre: disappearing snacks. I built a full campaign: ad, short film, and class presentation, framing the snack as addictive as crack. Teachers acted in the ad. I designed the packaging, had physical packets printed, then pulled them out of my blazer mid-presentation.

Campus Venture: Stall Marketing & Sales

My team sold earrings, bookmarks, and tarot readings on campus for two days. I took the two jobs I could do: marketing (Spiderman mask, formals, shouting slogans in front of the stall) and the numbers (colour-coded Google Sheets tracker for inventory, per-product sales, daily revenue). Results: 240 sales, ₹7,500–8,000 revenue, near-zero leftover stock.

Peenya Manufacturing Unit: Organisational Study

A 30-hour deep-dive into a mattress manufacturing unit in Peenya, mapping how the operation actually ran: departments, supplier and competitor relationships, product lines. Went through their catalogues, MOA, and AOA; interviewed the owner and office staff.

VV Puram-Style Food Street: Market Analysis

Brief: pitch a new business idea. Concept: a VV Puram-style food street near Christ University. Backed by actual market research; survey forms mapped food preferences and tested whether the concept would hold up as a real venture.

Activities

Humshakals: Prachaara 2.0

Solo pitch round: randomly assigned Pushpa (character) and vehicle cleaning (category). Turned it into a standup set; product line called Thaggede Le: cleaning brush, truck polish, interior cleaner branded as "enemy's blood," air freshener called Sheshachalam Mist. Accidentally clapped back at the associate dean mid-bit; room lost it when people realised. Ran 12 minutes over the time limit in front of 300+ students and faculty. Asked the crowd if they'd buy the product: every hand went up. Didn't place; judges said no commercial value. Watch the set →

Prachaara: Marketing Ka Punchnama

Multi-round marketing pitch competition. Got through Round 1 on humour and people skills; finals in front of 200+ (the whole department). Assigned Jackie Chan from Rush Hour and a beauty product. Built a makeup kit sourced from Thailand, China, and Vietnam. Deck: AI-generated images and projections, made in ~10 minutes. Admitted on stage the financials were AI-generated, then closed with a dance and confetti. Judges said I'd have won without the admission. Department was still stopping me in hallways days later.

CRESCERE Finance Case Competition

Not a cell member; brought in to market the event. Three of us dressed as Squid Game guards and ran the paper-flipping game on campus to pull people to the registration stall. Also competed: drew a failing company in Round 1, built a recovery plan, defended through judge Q&A. Won the round and reached the finals.

University–NGO Civic Drive

Initiated a collaboration between the department SDG club and The Broseph Foundation; co-led one of two field teams across 20+ participants, documenting 60+ civic issues and educating participants on civic reporting mechanisms.

Homeless Shelter Potluck

The Foundation's first potluck at a homeless shelter almost didn't happen; the initial sign-up form barely got a response. Two nights before, rebuilt the menu and form from scratch at midnight, pushed to all 14 Bangalore groups. Called every sign-up individually to cover details the short form omitted. On the day: coordinated food deliveries to HQ, posted live updates across all 14 groups, managed vendors, kept three teams in sync. Event: introduction, housie (taught residents who'd never played), buffet, music, dancing. Still the most intense single day I've run for the Foundation.
